New York City is absolutely filthy.  It always has been, but it's worse these days.   I think it's a combination of shitty government, and lazy people who can't be bothered to throw their crap out.  It's really sad, but it does provide a nice canvas on which I can create some monochrome photography, especially with a bright, beautiful, low hanging sun providing the directional light and shadow.
